 Josh’s Biography

​

Josh’s passion for music production began five years ago when he enrolled in a Certificate III in Sound Production. Since then, he has dedicated himself to mastering the craft, earning multiple certifications and diplomas, including an Advanced Diploma in Audio Engineering. His journey took him to the prestigious Grove Studios Academy, where he had the opportunity to learn from top industry professionals such as Jack Nigro, Nathaniel Chan, and Scott Horscroft.

With hands-on experience assisting at some of the top studios across the Central Coast, Sydney, and Melbourne, Josh has developed a deep understanding of both modern and vintage studio gear. This expertise allows him to work seamlessly across various studio setups, providing flexibility and versatility to every project.

As an independent artist himself, Josh knows the challenges of navigating the music industry—juggling songwriting, production, and promotion while striving to bring a creative vision to life. Recognizing the need for a space where independent artists could focus solely on their artistry, he set out to create an environment that removes the burden of managing every aspect of production.

Combining his technical expertise, industry connections, and a Certificate IV in Business, Josh founded OAV Studios—a space dedicated to empowering independent artists. The studio offers a range of services, including recording, mixing, mastering, distribution, podcasting, and even promotional shoots and videos—all within an accessible, supportive, and creative environment.
